To start off, I wanted some good o' chee cheong fun 2 weeks ago. Not the Hong Kong freshly rolled and steamed type with soya sauce, but the regular hawker plain CCF with purple sweet sauce. But i was picky still, i didn't think any old CCF at any old breakfast hawker stall would do. I specifically knew I wanted the CCF at Whampoa market which had a translucent and thin texture, almost like rolled ipoh hor fun. The purple sweet sauce was a good topping without being too overpowering. I ate 1 pc at the market one week (with 4 chwee kuehs) and another week, tapow one packet home for lunch.
On hind sight, I should have skipped the chwee kuehs because they were nothing to shout about. Nice but nothing great for my fussy tummy at that point.
Oh ya, beware of the chilli though. They are spicy with real dried chilli bits.
P.S> On a regular basis, I do tapow the kosong ones for my girl's breakfast the next 2 days. But i didn't really have the urge to eat them back then.
